Tra i vari casi di studio previsti in Europa e inaltri continenti, il progetto ha anche inserito l'area del Ponei pressi di Settimo Torinese e Chivasso (Torino) e la parteterminale dell'Orco, oltre a un'altra sperimentazionesull'Adige. La base operativa per l'esecuzione delle attività dicalibrazione e per l'installazione di parte della strumentazionenecessaria per l'esecuzione delle misure è stata la traversa delcanale Cavour a Chivasso.
