(askanews) - Quasi un'abitazione su tre non è occupata e più della metà è stat costruita nella seconda metà dello scorso secolo. Lo sottolinea l'Istat che ha diffuso il censimento delle abitazioni al 2021.In particolare, nelle Isole il 34,9% delle abitazioni risulta non occupata, segue il Sud Italia con il 32%. Più contenute le percentuali al Nord-est (23,1%) e al Nord-ovest (26%). Nel decennio 2011-2021 l'incremento delle abitazioni occupate più alto è stato nell'Italia Centrale (+8,6%), quello più basso nelle due Isole maggiori (+5,5%).La parte più ampia del patrimonio abitativo italiano - fa notare l'Istat - è rappresentata dalle abitazioni costruite nelperiodo 1961-2000: sono quasi 20 milioni e corrispondono al 56,3% del totale delle abitazioni. Questa quota aumenta ulteriormente tra le abitazioni occupate da almeno una persona residente, raggiungendo il 57,0%, mentre è leggermente più bassa tra le abitazioni non occupate, il 54,1%. È da notare però che nei 40 anni considerati più di 12 milioni e mezzo di abitazioni (pari a circa il 63%) sono state costruite tra il 1961 e il 1980, ovvero nell'intervallo temporale della grande crescita economica del Paese, che ha caratterizzato l'Italia soprattutto negli anni Sessanta.Le abitazioni con anno di costruzione antecedente al 1961 ammontano a quasi 11,5 milioni, ovvero al 32,4% del totale (sino al 1945 sono 6.308.009, pari a circa il 18% del totale), percentuale che risulta più bassa (31,4%) se riferita alle abitazioni occupate e più alta (35%) se calcolata tra le abitazioni non occupate.Tra le abitazioni più vetuste, quelle che hanno già superato i 100 anni di 'vita' (antecedenti il 1919) sono circa 3,3 milioni, ovvero il 9,5% del totale delle abitazioni (l'8,9% tra le occupate e l'11% tra le non occupate) e più di due su tre (il 68,6%) risultano occupate da almeno una persona residente.Le abitazioni costruite dal 2001 in poi sono 4 milioni circa, ovvero l'11,4% del totale delle abitazioni in Italia (l'11,5% tra le occupate e il 10,9% tra le non occupate).
