(askanews) - Il Colonnello dell'Aeronautica Militare, Walter Villadei, in orbita sulla Stazione Spaziale Internazionale per la missione Voluntas della Difesa italiana, prima missione spaziale commerciale del nostro Paese nell'ambito della missione Ax-3 della società privata americana Axiom Space, nalla mattinata di lunedì 29 gennaio si è collegato con alcuni piccoli pazienti dell'ospedale pediatrico Bambino Gesù di Roma.Il Colonnello Villadei ha risposto alle domande e alle curiosità dei bambini radunati nella ludoteca della sede del Gianicolo, alla presenza del presidente del Bambino Gesù, Tiziano Onesti e del Generale di Brigata Aerea Urbano Floreani, Capo del 5° Reparto Comunicazione dello Stato Maggiore dell'Aeronautica. "La Terra vista da quassù sembra molto più piccola ed è straordinariamente bella", ha detto rispondendo alla domanda della piccola Cecilia.L'astronauta ha spiegato ai bambini il lavoro a bordo della Stazione Spaziale Internazionale e gli esperimenti in corso. Nei prossimi giorni sono previsti ulteriori collegamenti con gli studenti italiani, sia presso la sede dell'Agenzia Spaziale Italiana, a Roma sia dall'Istituto di Scienze Militari Aeronautiche dell'Aeronautica Militare per un incontro dedicato agli allievi della Scuola Militare Aeronautica "Giulio Douhet" e di altri istituti superiori di Firenze.Intanto, nello Spazio, Villadei e i suoi colleghi condividono anche i pranzi "all'italiana" con tutti gli astronauti sull'ISS."Ieri - ha detto - abbiamo avuto il piacere di condividere la nostra pasta aggiuntiva con l'equipaggio dell'ISS.
