accolto gli emigrati oltreoceano, attraverso una mostra internazionale itinerante, tra New York, Buenos Aires, Montevideo, Torino e Genova. Il progetto Basilicatë è stato presentato a Potenza, nella Sala Inguscio della Regione perché vede il sostegno della Giunta regionale di Basilicata, il coordinamento scientifico del Centro dei Lucani nel Mondo Nino Calice. Finanziato dalla Regione Basilicata su Fondi per lo Sviluppo e la Coesione, realizzato dalla Federazione dei Lucani in Piemonte con il supporto scientifico del Centro dei Lucani nel Mondo Nino Calice, il progetto ha il suo cuore nella realizzazione di una mostra.Un risultato, è stato evidenziato nel corso della presentazione, frutto di protocolli d'Intesa stipulati dal Centro dei Lucani nel Mondo Nino Calice della Regione Basilicata con le istituzioni italiane e estere: il MEI - Museo dell' Emigrazione Italiana di Genova, Ellis Island Foundation di New York, MUMI Muralla Abierta Intendencia de Montevideo, UNTREF Universidad Nacional de Tres de Febrero di Buenos Aires. BASILICATË trasformando il nome della Regione in un plurale con la dieresi esprime le variazioni che si producono nella tradizione culturale ad opera dei migranti. Il presidente del Consiglio regionale e presidente della Commissione Lucani nel mondo Carmine Cicala, ha voluto dare il suo contributo. "E una iniziativa legata alla Giunta regionale, io presiedo la Commissione Lucani nel mondo che ha un'altra struttura, vogliamo comunque sostenere questa iniziativa offrendo le competenze della nostra rete, oltre 140 associazioni nel mondo". "L'aggregazione dei lucani - sottolinea Michele Busciolano dirigente Ufficio per le Politiche per i Sistemi Culturali, insieme all'associazione di Torino, una delle più forti a livello rappresentativo per l'emigrazione legata alla Fiat, credo sia interessante riuscire a sfruttare i fondi europei per esaltare la lucanità, questo può essere un ottimo esempio per il futuro".La curatela del progetto è stata affidata dalla Federazione dei Circoli e Associazioni dei Lucani in Piemonte al gruppo di ricerca Architecture of Shame che si avvale del supporto per l'immagine coordinata della società di comunicazione Ego 55 e di numerose collaborazioni di studiosi, attivisti, registi e professionisti lucani e internazionali. Lo scopo è realizzare un documento sul dialogo fra la cultura della comunità lucana e quella dei paesi che l'hanno accolta.
